SteamWorld Dig is an independent platforming action game developed by Image & Form. It is the second installment in the series. You play as a steam-powered robot named Rusty. He moves to a town of Tubleton after inheriting his uncle's mine. He starts to mine and explore the underground world unraveling the remains of human civilization on his way. The main objective is to investigate the mines. At the beginning of the game the player is only equipped with a pickaxe, but more and more mining equipment is unlocked as the game progresses. The equipment is also upgradable as the game goes on. The mines are procedurally generated on every playthrough and useful items appear in different places. Collected ores and resources can be sold in a shop outside the mine. There are several underground worlds to explore which feature various enemies. If the player gets lost in the mine they can either use the ladders that are sold in the store or use the self-destruct button. All collected loot is lost on death but can be picked up again.

Volgarr the Viking is a 2D action-platformer inspired by classic platformers such as Ghosts ‘n Goblins and Rastan. ### Gameplay The game follows a Viking named Volgarr summoned by Odin to defeat an evil dragon. The gameplay shares many similarities with old-school side-scrollers. The game consists of six main worlds and one secret level. Each of the world except the final one, divided into two part: an open area referred to as ‘level’ and a ‘temple’ with a boss on the end of it. On every stage, you have to go from the beginning to finish slaying monsters on your way and picking up treasures and power-ups. Volgarr has two weapons: throwing the spear and a sword. Throwing spear can be charged, and if it hits the wall, it serves as a platform that allows player achieve secret places. Additionally, Volgarr can pick up Mjolnir’s Blessing, a power-up that kills all non-boss enemies on the screen upon taking a hit. The hero has several different moves to fight the enemies and getting through platforming sequences such as jumping slash, crouching slash and down thrust. The player can collect treasures scattered throughout the levels. Most of them only affect the player’s points. However, picking up particular Life Fires gives the player access to particular Valkyrie levels – alternate versions on game world with different layouts and more challenging enemies. The amount of Life Fires player collected affects the number of lives they have to beat Valkyrie level. Completing all of them in a single playthrough unlock a secret level Yggdrasill where Volgarr has to defeat the last boss in the game - Nidhogg.

The player gains control of Prophet - a soldier in nano suit, whose primary goal is to stop the leader of the alien race. Turning into a jungle landscape one of the most recognizable cities in the world, allowed developers to diversify the gameplay. Together with the nano suit, they transformed the classic first-person shooter into a vast fast-paced sandbox. It depends solely on the player how to complete each level. In addition to a solo story campaign, the game has a multiplayer with 8 modes and 12 maps.

Shadowrun Returns is a science fiction tactical RPG. The game became a revival of the original Shadowrun series, as the new chapter had some references to the 1993 Shadowrun. The Shadowrun universe includes several fictional cyberpunk elements because the main action takes place in the future. To start a single campaign called Dead Man’s Switch players are offered to create their own character. The story begins in 2054 in Seattle, when the nameless protagonist receives a message from their shadowrunner accomplice Sam Watts, which was triggered by a dead man’s switch. The message is about Sam’s assassination, and the protagonist is aksed to investigate the case for Sam’s 100 thousand of local currency. The investigation will lead players through the story of serial killer Emerald City Ripper to the large-scale intergalactic conspiracy. In the course of the investigation, the character will participate in turn based fights and complete in-game objectives. Although the gameplay is mostly linear, it features some exploration and interaction with the environment.

The core gameplay element comes from combining the materials: Endroi can pull the multi-colored blocks towards him — if hit an enemy, they destroy both the for and themselves, and if they get hit by another block of the same color, they form a construction — most likely a turret — which shoots in all directions. The setting was modeled after a real place, and the story is inspired by the Alpine folklore. The player controls a man who lost his memory. He only can vaguely remember a sawmill and a woman called Anna. The protagonist visits the sawmill that is apparently haunted. He has to discover the uneasy secrets of his past and the fate of Anna. ###Gameplay The player's goal is to solve the puzzles to move forward and uncover the mystery of Anna by recalling dialogues the protagonist had with her. Unlike in most adventure games, not all items the protagonist can carry are useful. The game does not highlight the important items. ###Extended Edition The Extended Edition is a dramatically improved version of Anna. It was based on the feedback and criticism the original game received. This edition introduces a new AI-controlled character called "The Wife Doll." It also adds letters, books and other documents that provide insight into the mystery. Unlike in the original version, which had no "game over" option, the player can lose sanity after encountering supernatural phenomena. It leads to a "bad" ending.
