Wayne Gretzky Hockey 3

The best selling PC Hockey game in the world just got better! Bethesda Softworks took suggestions from your letters and phone calls, and brought the pro coaches and players back to their locker room. Using their tips and tactics, along with your comments, Bethesda spent an additional five man-years creating Wayne Gretzky Hockey 3. The result is a faster, more realistic version of the fastest game on ice. From the adrenaline rush of a breakaway goal to the tension of Sudden Death Overtime, Wayne Gretzky Hockey 3 will take you onto the ice for the ultimate test of skill. The classic overhead view has been carefully preserved and player graphics and intelligence refined even further. Bethesda Softworks hasn't messed with success, they've only made it better.

Gekibo: Gekisha Boy

Gekisha Boy is a 2D side-scrolling game in which you play the part as a camera man who is out to snap some high paying photos to please their contractor. You control the movement of the shutter aim and you have slight control over the character as well (using the same style of control as such games as Cabal). You walk along a side-scrolling street and you have to snap unusual/tragic/funny or simply weird photos to rack up the points. It can be anything from crashing airplanes to Marilyn Monroe lookalikes and UFOs abducting cars. Every stage has a set score you need to reach to progress to the next one or you have to start it over again.

Himitsu no Hanazono

Himitsu no Hanazono is essentially a visual novel. There are no verb commands and no real interaction with the environment. The choices are rather frequent and fairly numerous (usually four or five choices at most screens). Most of these choices, however, do not affect the plot, though they may alter subsequent dialogue. The player is also able to navigate the protagonist on school grounds and inside the main building in a top-down fashion, visiting locations in any order.

Ugetsu Kitan

A Visual Novel based on Ugetsu Monogatari, a collection of nine supernatural tales by the Japanese author Ueda Akinari.

Global Effect

Global Effect involves building up a sound local economy before going out to attack other nations and rule the world. Cities must contain housing, food sources and power supplies, which is where it gets complicated. You can choose the environmental settings of the game, in a similar way to Civilization - an icy world or a post-apocalyptic one make things much tougher.

Abandoned Places: A Time for Heroes

In this RPG, you play the role of four heroes whose mission is to save their world, Kalynthia, from the evil arch mage Bronagh. Most of the time, while exploring the over world, the game is shown in a 2D top-down view. It gives you much freedom: there's more to do than just stick to the main quest. Towns have a static interface where you reach the wished location by pressing the according symbol. e.g. a church for healing up or a sage for hints. During dungeon crawls the game switches to a 3D view and plays similar to Dungeon Master. As usual for this kind of games you see the dungeon in a small windows while your characters are shown on the right hand side of the screen. Dungeon sequences are completely in real-time. This includes combat which basically consists of clicking on a character's weapon or magic spell and then clicking on the monster. After every usage of a weapon/spell you have to wait a certain time until you can use it again.
