<!--en-->After graduating from NYU with a degree in film production, Jayil has worked as a director of commercials, music videos, and short films in both the US and South Korea. In the last couple of years, his works have screened in 100+ film festivals and garnered 50+ awards around the world. His film Georgia (2020) won best short at the Busan International Film Festival and was nominated for a Korean Oscar. Georgia has also been featured in The New Yorker’s Screening Room Video Series and ranked 6th on Screen Rant’s 10 Best Short Films Ever Made According to Letterboxd. Recently, Jayil directed a Disney+ original documentary series on the K-pop sensation NCT 127 set to premiere on August 30th, 2023.
