Animovaná verze příběhů notoricky známé komixové postavy - Supermana. Jeden z nejslavnějších superhrdinů zažívá mnohá dobrodružství a musí se postavit mnoha nástrahám. Clarku Kentovi, zdánlivě obyčejnému novináři (avšak ve skutečnosti Supermanovi s planety Krypton), je největším soupeřem a nepřítelem Lex Luthor. Samozřejmě nechybí ani Clarkova kolegyně a láska Lois Lane, jeho kolega a fotograf Jimmy Olsen a taky jejich šéf - Perry White.
