The Life of Jacob Spencer is a 2025 coming age short film written and directed by Hassan Syed, very heavily inspired by John Hughes films like Ferris Bullers Day Off and the Breakfast Club as well as the graphic novels of Bryan Lee O Malley(Seconds, Scott Pilgrim.) It follows a 23 year old down on his luck aspiring actor named Jacob Spencer who is struggling to pursue his dream of making it as an actor after losing yet another audition and getting fired from his job, the story is the journey of him learning to believe in himself and why it's important to take a chance.
