Kapitán Neweyes odlétá se svou kouzelnou kosmickou lodí do minulosti, kde nakrmí dinosaury speciálními cereáliemi, které z nich udělají inteligentní a nenásilné bytosti. Tvorové poté souhlasí, že se s kapitánem vypraví do současnosti, aby je mohly vidět děti z New Yorku. Cestu jim ale zkříží profesor Screweyes, který má s dinosaury úplně jiné záměry.
