Jenny je lékařkou, která provozuje malou praxi po svém starém a nemocném mentorovi. Ambiciózní mladá žena se chystá na velký kariérní skok – přestup na významnou kliniku a prestižní oddělení. Když se jednoho dne večer rozezní v její ordinaci zvonek, Jenny nereaguje. Je po ordinačních hodinách a má dost práce s nejistým Julienem, který u ní vykonává praxi. Ráno se dozví, že neznámá dívka, kterou nepustila dovnitř, byla opodál nalezena mrtvá, nejspíš zavražděná. Hnána výčitkami svědomí se Jenny pokouší vypátrat její identitu. Nepřiznaně v ní ale hlodá i touha odhalit pachatele brutálního činu.
