Some of the people oppose this situation and revolt. George, who escaped after being taken prisoner by the Ottomans, joins the uprising. George, who is Catholic, meets an Orthodox woman named Anna that day. He falls in love with Anna at first sight. George and Anna, who belong to two different denominations, will experience love during the days when the Ottoman Empire invades Byzantium.
