Před mnoha lety se nad centrální Afrikou zřítilo letadlo. Přežil jediný pasažér – nemluvně George. Uplynulo dvacet let a z George se stal skutečný král džungle. Pak k jeho útulnému bungalovu z palmoví zbloudila výprava s krásnou dívkou Uršulou, kterou pronásleduje její slizký snoubenec Lyle. Když se Uršula dostane do smrtelného nebezpečí, odporný Lyle zbaběle prchá, zatímco hrdinný George se spouští z liány přímo na překvapeného lva zabijáka a odnáší Uršulu do svého království. Dívka je šokována - pohledný a sexy opičí muž, mluvící gorila a uměleckým nadáním a slon, který se při své mnohametrákové váze chová přesně jako přítulný pejsek. Nicméně překvapen je i George, když se později se svou láskou Uršulou vydává do San Franciska a na vlastní kůži poznává džungli velkoměsta...
