Principal Qu of Zhalong Island Primary School has been working there for twenty years. The district education bureau chief promised her that after the upcoming district-wide standardized test, if her students ranked first for ten consecutive years, she would be transferred to work in the city. After the exam, Principal Qu discovered that most of her students’ answers were wrong. Upon investigation, she found that the children had deliberately answered incorrectly because they couldn’t bear for her to leave.
