Teimuraz Khevistavi is, the amiable intellectual and ineffectual philanthropist whom his trustee, Jaqo, the swashbuckling, grasping and swindler character, robs of his fortune, his beautiful and beloved wife Margo, and even of his sanity. The movie is set in a very difficult historical period. This era, the late 10s and early 20s of the 20th century, is filled with important events. Georgia itself was waiting for freedom, received it and soon lost it. The action in this work also takes place mainly during the soviet era.
