Novopečený policejní komisař Michel Clément nastupuje po škole na stáž do Paříže. Dráha, na niž se vydal, je však pro něj spíš nepohodlná. Michel vlastně jenom splnil přání své matky, když se přihlásil do řad policie, a závěrečnými zkouškami prošel jen díky zásluhám svého otce, slavného detektiva. Nyní by měl ukázat, co umí, jenomže služba zákonu opravdu není jeho parketa. Navíc má proti sobě ke všemu odhodlaného zločince...
