Doktor Serge Mamou-Mani (Michel Blanc) bojuje se závislostí na alkoholu a hrozí mu, že bude vyškrtnutý z lékařského registru. Je patřičně naštvaný a protivný. K tomu má na Štědrý den službu jako pohotovostní lékař a pacientů jen přibývá. Ale to ještě nestačí. Nešťastnou náhodou se srazí s roznašečem pizzy Malekem (Hakim Jemili) a zraní si záda. Malek nemá jinou možnost, než ho v práci zastoupit. Aby všechno vypadalo důvěryhodně, Serge mu bude dávat pokyny přes sluchátka…
