Velmi volná adaptace knihy Johna Updikea, která se na příběhu tří osamělých žen zamýšlí nad vztahy mezi oběma pohlavími. Snímek v sobě spojuje prvky bizarní komedie, hororu i satiry na zatuchlou morálku typického amerického maloměsta, jehož zdánlivá upravenost (stejně jako ve filmech D. Lynche) ostře kontrastuje s tím, co na první pohled není vidět. Především jsou Čarodějky z Eastwicku zábavným, oddechovým filmem, kterému zcela dominuje strhující herecký výkon Jacka Nicholsona, jehož kreace v roli odpudivě neodolatelného vyslance pekel přerostla vlastní rámec filmu. Film byl roku 1988 nominován na Oscary za hudbu a zvuk.
