Po úspěšném pokusu v institutu genetiky přichází večer plný oslav. V uvolněné atmosféře ale dojde v laboratoři k nehodě. Agresivním virem nakažená kočka uteče a pokouše několik lidí. Objekt je bezpečnostním systémem uzamčen a v něm i zaměstnanci, kteří netuší, jak velké nebezpečí jim hrozí. Pokousaní se totiž mění v krvežíznivé bestie, které prahnou po čerstvé krvi.
