Je pokračování oblíbeného seriálu, v němž sledujeme dobrodružství a přešlapy čerstvě čtrnáctileté Penny Pyšné a její rodiny na jejich zábavné cestě moderním životem. Dvacátá léta 21. století přinášejí nové kariérní možnosti matce Trudy, ještě divočejší sny otci Oscarovi a nové výzvy pro Penny, včetně společensky uvědomělé sousedky, která má dojem, že toho musí Penny hodně naučit, nebo šikanujícího influencera, který by ji nejraději celou zakázal i s jejími pubertálními hormony. Vrací se i Pennyini kamarádi Dijonay, LaCienega, Zoey a Michael. Uvidíme i její babičku přezdívanou Suga Mama, která je vždy připravena šířit kolem sebe drsnou lásku nebo nabídnout něžnou pomocnou ruku, kdykoliv je potřeba. Poprvé se objeví Maya a KG, kteří se musí vypořádat nejen s tím, že jsou ve městě noví, ale také s tím, že jako první ve Smithvillu mají dva otce
