Obyčejný desetiletý chlapec jménem Ben Tennyson je právě na nudném letním výletě s dědou Maxem a sestřenicí Gwen. Když v tom náhle objeví hodinky Omnitrix, které se dostaly na Zemi ze samotného vesmíru. Jakmile si je dá Ben na ruku, okamžitě zjišťuje, že se může stát kýmkoliv z mimozemských vetřelců. Nyní se musí chlapec naučit nejen jak hodinky ovládat, ale také jak zvládat jedinečné síly, které mu poskytují. Pouze tak budou moci společně s Gwen a dědou Maxem zachránit Zemi před legií zločinců vedenou strašlivým Vilgaxem, který hledá Omnitrix pro své vlastní ďábelské úmysly.
