Contemporary architecture in China today is developing as part of a prosperous economic context in which buildings of significant social and media impact are being constructed. Although many of these projects were designed by foreign architects, new generations of Chinese designers are taking ever more leadership as shapers of their country’s cityscapes. It is these architecture and interior design firms whose work is compiled in this book, a collection of small- and medium-scale projects that reflect the dynamism and strength of current Chinese design.
