V deviatich častiach tejto knihy nájdete lákavé receptúry pokrmov skoro zo všetkých kontinentov. Ťažisko tvorí Európa, a jej krajiny, ktoré sú nám najbližšie a najvyhovujúcejšie, a to tak z hľadiska surovín, ako aj ich prípravy. V prvej časti sme upriamili pozornosť užívateľov na pôvod a správne využitie surovín, ktoré máme k dispozícii na prípravu každodennej potravy. Uviedli sme aj tabuľku, v ktorých ročných obdobiach sa na trh dostanú jednotlivé druhy zeleniny, šalátov a ovocia, a to napriek tomu, že trh je po celý rok zásobovaný pestrým sortimentom surovín. Netýka sa to zeleniny a ovocia, ale aj mäsa a mäsových výrobkov, napr. mäso zo zveriny a ryby môžeme konzumovať po celý rok. Z jatočných výrobkov sú to hlavne obľúbené zabíjačkové výrobky, ktorých príprava a konzumácia podľa starých zvyklostí bola viazaná výlučne na zimné mesiace. Ďalšie časti knihy sú rozdelené podľa gastronomického poradia, t. j. na predkrmy, polievky, vaječné, mäsité pokrmy, a to jatočné mäsá, hydina, zverina, ryby, zelenina. Nevynechali sme ani studenú kuchyňu, múčniky, dezerty a ďalšie pochúťky. Pri spracovaní receptúr sme mysleli aj na tých, ktorí dbajú o svoju líniu, tým, že pri každej receptúre sú uvedené ich energetické hodnoty v kilokalóriách a kilojouloch.
